Daily Devotional March 9th 2021: Suicide by Poison
Yesterday, we talked about "news" as a distraction. Today, we talk about entertainment, which truly goes into the realm of predictive programming. The Discovery network is one of the worst when it comes to poisoning interesting subjects with the lies that support the unholy, globalist agenda. Not even cooking shows are spared the progressive mutilation of the truth. Billions of undiscerning people worldwide are consuming the brain-washing propaganda of the enemy for entertainment. I, for one, cannot tolerate the assaults on God and His righteousness. When they cuss and swear, I turn it off. When a movie glorifies the h o m o secxual lifestyle. I turn it off. No, I don't own a TV anymore, but I keep up-to-date via the internet.
There are resources and alternative news sources run by Christians. These productions keep me grounded; they remind me of the evil that surrounds me - all of us.
Just this morning, Matthew Romero reminded me of the excellent series The Chosen. It is an outstanding production that takes the biblical narrative of Jesus and puts it into a human context. It doesn't have the feel of a religious or churchy film. It is more like an adventure/drama that helps us understand the people of the Bible better. It's addictive - in a good way. I have watched it and could not find anything that was not adhering to the accounts of the Bible. It is doctrinally sound.
If we allow the enemy to poison our mind with things that are an abomination to the LORD, what does that say about us? No, I do not want to grieve the Holy Spirit, nor do I want to invite evil into my house in the form of music, "news" and entertainment. There are better sources of movies, arts, and news, and they're easy to find if you look for them.
I won't list any here, but seek and ye will find. Let us never defile our houses and ourselves by inviting evil via TV, the internet, the MSM, movie theatres, ungodly print media, and the like. Who then among us can withstand the power of evil raining down on the body night and day without being wounded or killed? The children who the enemy indoctrinates via public 'schools' and regressive College indoctrination are proof. Why do you think do they want unaccompanied children crossing the border in droves? It's their new, obedient, army of unsuspecting innocence. By I digress.
In today's scripture, God lays it out perfectly:
Peter 2:1 - 2:5
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord [is] gracious.
4 To whom coming, [as unto] a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, [and] precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

How to Pray
Call upon the Heavenly Father and pray in the name of Jesus.
Bless God and worship Him before any petition.
Praise God before you ask for anything because He is worthy.
Be grateful for that which God has supplied you with, food, shelter, clothing, the essentials.
Ask God to give you wisdom and discernment when it comes to news, entertainment, indeed, people.
Pray for the people in news and entertainment, that they may ask questions that poke a hole into the narrative of the enemy, and turn from their wicked ways.
And pray that LORD shall keep your heart and mind from sin.
