Daily Devotional March 1st 2021: Faith Conquers Fear

President Trump didn't hold back in his powerful speech yesterday at CPAC. Fearlessly, he called out the enemies and their follies by name. President Trump doesn't accept fear, he conquers it through faith.

Genesis 15:1 - 15:6
1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward.
2 And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house [is] this Eliezer of Damascus?
3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
4 And, behold, the word of the LORD [came] unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

When we know we are on the right side of God, when we live righteously. When we have faith in God's Word, we can also conquer our fear. Who would think that one righteous man would stand up to the entire world and declare righteousness and truth? President Trump's accomplishments are supra-natural; they are God-ordained. The onslaught of slander, treachery, and treason this man and his family had to endure for years is a culmination of hate the world has for truth. Yet, President Trump prevailed in ways that we cannot explain in worldly terms. He loves God; he loves this nation; he loves the American people, but he despises evil and fears it not.

His secret?

Hebrews 13:5 - 13:6
5 [Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Fear is the enemy's most potent weapon; the fear of a virus, the fear of being criticized, or the fear of being canceled. Do we not know that David defeated Goliath and later even the giant's brothers (2 Samuel 21:16, 18, 20)? But even David had to overcome fear. Even David had to retreat because King Saul wanted him dead. Saul feared David more than David feared Saul. Later, David had to flee again, as his own son, Absolom, usurped David's throne. President Trump had to retreat for a season just as David eons before him (2 Samuel 15:1-20:22—Rebellion against David). Retreat is not defeat.

I admire David, the boy, the warrior, the king who conquered his fear through faith.
I admire President Trump, the outsider, the warrior, the businessman, the President, who conquers fear through faith.

We can conquer our fears, too. We don't have to be famous. We don't have to be rich. We only have to have faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, because:

Romans 8:31 - 8:33
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth.

And when the enemy instills fear in us, here is a powerful prayer that should give you confidence every step of the way, too; I pray it every time I enter enemy territory:

Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

Why can I be so sure?

Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

No fear then shall render us moot; in faith, we petition the Lord, and as President Trump is so valiantly showning us, the enemies' attacks shall turn against them.

How to Pray

LORD, who can stand against You and live?
Who can conquer the Creator?
Who has sent His son to defeat Satan and his minions for all eternity?
You are my God, my Father, my Lord, and my Saviour.
I bless Your name.

Forgive me, Father God, for letting fear deter me to speak up.
Forgive me, LORD, for not trusting You enough to know that we can overcome fear with faith.
Help me, LORD, to fear You more than the enemy. (Fear of the Lord:
To honor, value,  It is a fear conjoined with love and hope, and is therefore not a slavish dread, but rather filial reverence)
Help me, LORD, to shun the enemy by conquering my fear through faith in You.

Psalms 23:4
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

I shall not fear.
This I pray, LORD:

In Jesus' name
Amen

BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
