Daily Devotional Feb 6th 2021: “O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!”

When the Hebrews went to Egypt, they prospered and multiplied, and they had favor in the eyes of Pharao. But soon, a new king arose who did not know the virtue of Joseph, who had saved the people of Egypt from the deadly seven-year famine by managing their agricultural affairs. This ruler enslaved the Hebrews. The king oppressed them with forced labor; the people of Egypt had no empathy or mercy. The Hebrews suffered under tyranny, as we are now under the oppressive whip of insane globalism and bloodthirsty leftism. All freedom-loving people, especially Christians across the globe, are persecuted, and the calls to label us "Terrorists" are growing louder and shriller by the day.

Where then is God?

Why doesn't He come to our aid? Why has He allowed the agents of Satan to steal the election with so many negative consequences for the people in the US, for the Republic, and indeed, for every righteous person on earth?

Habakkuk 1:2

“O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!”
King James Version (KJV)

Habakkuk 1:1-11
1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see. 2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save! 3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. 4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth. 5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you. 6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs. 7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves. 8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat. 9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand. 10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it. 11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

What Caused God to Take Note?

The Hebrews lived in Egypt for 400 years before the LORD rescued them. But what caused God to take note and action? It's documented in Exodus 2.

Exodus 2:23 - 2:25

23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto [them].

God heard their cry and their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God sprung into action.

My challenge to God's people today is this: Are we in all earnest praying daily for God to take note? Are we oppressed enough to lift our voices and hands and petition God to listen? Are we committed to follow Jesus and show the world how God's people behave? Have we repented? Are we striving to live a righteous life? Or are we still tolerating the murder of babies? Are we still continuing to purchase goods from China, from Amazon? Are we still paying subscription fees to Netflix and Spotify? Are we still not speaking up and peacefully inundate the unrighteous with complaints, phone calls, emails, and letters when our fellow citizens are being persecuted, accused, canceled, imprisoned, even murdered? Is all this still tolerable to us? Or is it time to look at ourselves, at our priorities, at our life in relation to God and righteousness?

As long as we are complacent, as long as we tolerate any evil deed in our midst, as long as we fear them for our comforts' sake, as long as all these things take place, God may not be inclined to deliver us from the bondage of the Biden regime and the globalists.

The Solution

2 Chronicles 7:14 - 7:15
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer [that is made] in this place.

It's up to us for God to deliver us. Pray, therefore, according to your heart and take righteous action!

Stay blessed

In Jesus' name
Amen

BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
