Scripture for the Day Dec 21st 2020: One Way Ticket

There are two deaths. The physical one which we all have to go through, the LORD calls it Sleep (Psalms 13:3) and the second, the spiritual death (Revelation 5:20) . Jesus saved us through His Salvation from the second death. The unsaved aren't as lucky,

Before we consider today's Scripture, I need every reader to understand, there is no second chance after we go to sleep. That's it. There are no second chances. There is no coming back from hell for the ones who arrive there. It is a one-way ticket. Mind you even saved people can lose their salvation, but that's for another time. Just know, we all will be judged. We (the Saints) will even judge angels (1 Cor 6:3). Only the born-again will inherit God's Kingdom. The formula is simple:

Born x 2 = Death x 1

Born  1 = Death x 2

Hell means spending eternity separated from God.
Heaven means spending eternity in the Presence of God.

Regardless of the destination you choose, it is final.

LUKE 16:19-31

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, enjoying himself in splendor every day.
20 And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores,
21 and longing to be fed from the scraps which fell from the rich man’s table; not only that, the dogs also were coming and licking his sores.
22 Now it happened that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s arms; and the rich man also died and was buried.
23 And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms.
24 And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’
25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.
26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set, so that those who want to go over from here to you will not be able, nor will any people cross over from there to us.’
27 And he said, ‘Then I request of you, father, that you send him to my father’s house—
28 for I have five brothers—in order that he may warn them, so that they will not come to this place of torment as well.’
29 But Abraham *said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’
30 But he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’
31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

But lp, why no second chances?
Read verses 27-31 again.

Are there not billions of chances to acknowledge God in this life? What makes anyone think a God hater would confess Jesus with the right motive when faced with the consequences?

Let us bow our hearts and pray:

The Works and the Word of God.
Psalms 19

For the music director. A Psalm of David.

1 The heavens tell of the glory of God; And their expanse declares the work of His hands.
2 Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out into all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
5 Which is like a groom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices like a strong person to run his course.
6 Its rising is from ]one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

7 The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much pure gold; Sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, Your servant is warned by them; In keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.
13 Also keep Your servant back from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; Then I will be innocent, And I will be blameless of great wrongdoing.
14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.

LORD, thank you for loving me, for accepting my love, for saving me. I pray, LORD, that you may save the lost, my mom, my brother, my family, my friends, even the Christians in name only, the Muslims, and all others who worship other gods. May you have mercy on them, LORD. Save them, too LORD, and use me as you see fit LORD, to spare them the eternal death.

In Jesus' name
Amen

BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
