Truth Takes Its Toll

A few days after the birth of Isaac Watts, his father, a clothier, began a jail sentence in Southampton because he believed he had the right to worship in the fellowship led by the Reverend Nathaniel Robinson rather than in the established Church of England. The elder Mr. Watts’s stand for truth did not disgrace or divide his family. Quite the opposite! Every day Mrs. Watts took tiny Isaac to the prison, and, seated on a horse block outside, fed him in sight of his incarcerated father. When Isaac was nine months old, his father began another six month’s imprisonment for the same cause—religious freedom! Was it not love of truth, love of freedom, love of family, love of Christ, that impelled Watts to demonstrate such demanding integrity? Was young Isaac absorbing homilies of truth to be expressed later in his magnificent hymns?

Enslavement of the Mind

The putrid left and their globalist puppet masters scream SLAVERY is wrong. I agree. Yet they engage in the most hateful pro-slavery social engineering campaign since Satan deceived Eve. I am speaking of the enslavement of the mind: Political Correctness.

One thing I admire most about Jesus is His stance on Truth: He tells it like it is without fear. WITHOUT FEAR. Fear is the enemy's greatest weapon, and by fear, they rule our spirit, if we let them. Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada have enacted unlawful edicts disguised as law, making it a crime to speak freely. They call it Hate Speech. These laws are so ambiguous that they can charge anyone for any words one might speak. First, hate is a feeling. No one can legislate feelings. Emotions cannot be a crime. Neither can be speech unless it is calling treason, sedition, or violence. Of that, the enemies of God are spewing plenty. The news has become Orwell's 2 Minutes of Hate. Oh, you blinded souls. Fascism lives deep inside you, and you're oblivious to your evil. Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do. (Luke 23:24) 

I follow Jesus' example, who speaks the harsh truth in love. If we were not to tell a sinner to repent, their sin becomes our sin. Encouraging a 'gay' person to pursue their misguided lifestyle is not love, it is condemnation. We'd be lying to them, and we'd deny God's Word. There is no path to Salvation for liars.

Salvation Is Free, but Speaking the Truth Comes at a Price

Proverbs 23:23
“Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.”

Perhaps it will cost us our freedom, our livelihood, our family, and our friends. 

The devil wants us to be liars, so he can accuse us before God. 

LORD, I will not bow to the unrighteous, to their sick demands, to the enslavement of my mind, because I cannot sell my soul to evil. That, my brothers and sisters, I shall not do. Amen.

The word "amen" is closely related to the word for "truth" in Hebrew. It constitutes an affirmation of the truth of what has been said and an acceptance of its consequences. An acceptance of its consequences.

Humans Resemble Satan Closest When They Lie

The absence of truth in the human character displeases God. Denying the truth is lying. Denying God means giving up our inheritance, our salvation, our authority to be children of God. 

So I pray with my heart bowed, LORD,

Psalms 25:5
“Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”
