Scripture for the Day Dec 6th 2020: Unclaimed Authority

Even my cherished NASB translation is a watered-down New Testament version of the original Greek. Consider John 1:12.

John 1:12 (NASB)
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

and compare it with the original Greek, translated word for word:

John 1:12 (TPW)
But as many as Received Him
to them He Gave Authority to Become Children of God,
to them that are continuously by their choice
Committing for the Purpose and Result of His Name
(Lord Jesus Christ. Phil 2:9-11)

The traditional Bible translations do not highlight these two important things:

1) The continuous choice that we must make
2) Exercise the authority to become children of God.

A police officer who carries a badge has authority. But his badge alone means nothing if he doesn't exercise his authority. He may observe a crime, such as election fraud, and do nothing by choice. He could also choose to do his job and investigate the matter.

It's the same with Christians. Mainstream churches are satan's best friend because they neutralize the believer who doesn't study the bible and is oblivious to becoming sheep to the slaughter. Their pastors do not preach the evil of sin and the need for repentance; both combined, lead to salvation. If someone doesn't preach these two things, that person is not of God.

Hosea 4:6 (NASB)
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

How are YOU living your life? Continuously by choice, not sin, and if you fail, repent? And when you do that, are you exercising the authority that Jesus has delegated to you, to heal the sick, to cast out demons, and to tread on the enemy? I challenge every Christian to consider the ramifications of lukewarm attitudes. The Christianity we confess means nothing if we don't exercise the authority that Jesus gave us.

John 14:12 (TPW)
Truly, truly,, I say to you, he that is Committing to Me
the Works by God that I Do
he shall Do also.
And Greater than these shall he Do,
because I am going to My Father.

I pray, LORD, that my Christian brothers and sisters take up arms in the form of the Sword of the Spirit, to continuously, by choice, committing for the Purpose and Result of Your Name, so that we crush the enemy, the democrat traitors, the RINO imposters, the election fraudsters, the globalists, the 'self-appointed elite czars', and all other enemies of God and humanity, to save this Republic, that it may remain one Nation under God.

Matthew 7:14 (TPW)
For narrow is the Gateway,
and the Way of Travel is now being made troubled,
which is that leading away to Life,
and few are they who find it.

In Jesus' Name

Amen!

BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
