Scripture for the Day Nov 22nd 2020: Basics First-Thanksgiving

Today, we are keeping it simple. Basics first. Some readers may remember the Devotional titled A Secret to Answered Prayer? It was all about worshiping the LORD. That's about thanking God for Who He is. Today, it's about praising God, giving thanks for everything we have become, for everything God provides, being grateful for His blessings, even for the lessons He teaches us as a loving Father,

Hebrews 12:6 NASB1995
For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, And He scourges every son whom He receives.”

Those corrections keep us humble and on the RIGHT path. Are you saying grace before consuming a meal, even a snack? Are you thanking Him for the lovely coffee that fills your morning with a comforting aroma? Are you thanking the LORD for the air you breathe, for the friends you have, for the patience He has with our minor transgressions? Are you thanking Him for having access to the Word of God? If it was after the wicked, they'd outlaw the Bible in a heartbeat. Never let this happen! The best counterargument is: Communism, Liberalism, Socialism, all these are cult-religious rhetoric based on paganism, which is devil worship. Never be afraid! 

Are you thankful then that the Lord has given you the courage of a lion and the understanding of your actual sister, Wisdom?

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” And call understanding your intimate friend;

Let us praise God then, for whatever happens in our lives. But most of all, for His love, because He is love.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
