Scripture for the Day Nov 14th 2020: Yours Is the Dominion, O LORD

My mornings are wrapped in a lovely routine, well defined, and peaceful. I get up early, often at 4 am. But after I brew my coffee and before I open the home office to feed the birds, I sit down, open my Bible, and read a Proverb, just as I suggested in yesterday's Devotional. I am highly motivated every morning, ready to go. But the three minutes of sitting down, opening my precious Bible and reading a Proverb, bring calm and serenity, reflection and sanity into my spirit. It stays with me throughout the day. What a blessing!

Let's look at Proverbs 1. I am quoting from the NASB today. It is the most under-rated and literal translation of God's Word in English. It gives a clarity that the poetic King James often doesn't. Perhaps I talk about Bible versions tomorrow.

The following passage brought to my spirit the treasonous Biden crowd, who now deceptively calls for unity while plotting the persecution of Trump supporters. It warned me not to give consent to be governed by evil. Read these verses carefully.

Proverbs 1:10–19 (NASB95)

10] My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent.
11] If they say, “Come with us, Let us lie in wait for blood, Let us ambush the innocent without cause;
12] Let us swallow them alive like Sheol, Even whole, as those who go down to the pit;
13] We will find all kinds of precious wealth, We will fill our houses with spoil;
14] Throw in your lot with us, We shall all have one purse,”
15] My son, do not walk in the way with them. Keep your feet from their path,
16] For their feet run to evil And they hasten to shed blood.
17] Indeed, it is useless to spread the baited net In the sight of any bird;
18] But they lie in wait for their own blood; They ambush their own lives.
19] So are the ways of everyone who gains by violence; It takes away the life of its possessors.

Being a follower of Jesus comes with tremendous sacrifices and even greater blessings. As the world mocked Jesus, ridiculed and persecuted him, so will we be, for standing up for righteousness, and for Christ.
John 15:20, Acts 14:22, 1 Cor 15:19, 2 Cor 4:9, 2 Timothy 3:12, Titus 2:12.

Jesus told us to be in this world, not of it.

[Rom 12:2 NASB]
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

I could never support the draconian, totalitarian, and murderous ideologies the enemies of God try to coerce down our throats. Doing so would damn my soul. Hate blinds them. I have always been a rebel, a non-conformist. Only later in life did I understand that God has given me the spirit Paul is talking about in Romans 12:2 all along to stand up against evil and to defend God. That same spirit has me pray for and support Donald J. Trump, a man of integrity and honor who longs to make great again one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all

As the upheaval continues, I am at peace in Christ. Why?

Look at verses 18 and 19. Paul reveals their destiny.

18] But they lie in wait for their own blood; They ambush their own lives.
19] So are the ways of everyone who gains by violence; It takes away the life of its possessors.

Let us bow our hearts and pray:

Heavenly Father, thank You for who you are.
Thank you for granting us Your Holy Spirit.
Thank you for Your light that shows me the path You want me to take,

LORD, open your eyes and see.
LORD, open Your ears and hear.
LORD, I bring before you, President Trump,
Father, strengthen this man. Multiply his resolve if this were possible.
LORD, protect the President from the enemies that plot to destroy him, his supporters, even the United States of America.
LORD, expose the treason and bring to justice those who want to do him harm.
LORD, nullify their projects. Cancel them! Let all their treasonous efforts be in vain for Your name's sake.

We thank You, LORD, of Hosts, for being the General above of generals.
We thank You, LORD, for the victory before us.
We thank You, LORD, for this day we can support President Trump,
Let us, too, grow our faith, strength, and resolve.
[1Ch 29:11 NASB] 11 "Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
Yes, O Lord, let their Dominion Voting System be also their downfall.

In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen

    BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
