Scripture for the Day Oct 22nd 2020: Who Do You Trust The Most?

Devotional

Psalms 119:114
Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

It took me about five years to surrender fully ALL to God when I became a Christian, I kept stubbornly relying on my own devices, thinking I could resolve any issue better than God. Even now, I need to remind my soul purposefully of the Word of His Power.

Psalms 46:10:
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The thing is, the more we trust in His promises, His power, and His willingness to help us, guide us, and rescue us, the more He will come through for us.

When we live in sin, or even when we sin from time to time, we hide from God, just as Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden and we shy away from reading His Word. (Genesis 3:8). Then, anguish arises within us. We worry and get fearful.

With the demonic showing its faces more and more this year, from the China Plague to the Democrats' rage, it is easy to fall apart. Don't let this happen. Fear is their weapon. The phrase Do Not Fear, and Do Not Be Afraid occurs hundreds of times in His Word. Yes, it is easy to get drawn in to the rabbit hole and succumb to the enemy's weapon of fear. Spiritual food is just as nourishing or poisoning as physical food.

It is no surprise then, that if we neglect reading God's Word and feed off the enemy's lies instead, we get sick and may even die. But that's not what God commands us to do.

Let me close with these beautiful verses that bear more truth than many recognize:

Philippians 4:6-9
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

When we read verse 8, we realize that listening to the lying MSM and their poliItical masters is just the opposite. I won't listen to them. I do not invite their faces, their voices, their depraved spirits into my house..

God issued a loving command through Paul. It's His wisdom. It ought to be our way of life. If you live following God's way, Jesus bless you. Therefore, trust in the Lord, and do not fear!

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

What are YOU having for breakfast?

Amen

BIDEN’S FOLLYTHE LAW OF UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCESWhat it Means to Eliminate the Oil Industry Among Other ThingsBy E.P. Unum I wrote this essay back in the summer of 2020. Now that Joe Biden is President, it bears repeating because much of what feared has, sadly, already taken place. Many Democrats and Liberals like to shout and scream about how we all need to become more climate-conscious. They like to march down streets and wave their placards and makeshift flags about the need to eliminate fracking and do away with fossil fuels. Make no mistake, the self-anointed leader of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden promised during his Presidential campaign that he would not "do away with fracking or oi
